Hello,
time goes by and you cannot do anything to stop it. When in September 2005 I came to Italy for two years, it seemed to me that I had a whole life ahead to live here. It was hard, almost impossible to think about what would come next. So many things to live in the present, so many changes. It was just amazing.
And here we come, at the last official semester of the Master of Science. As you may know, a Master of Science is a 2-year post graduate degree, that is four semester. So I got to the 4th, what doesn’t mean I know when I will finish it.
Actually it will depend on my final thesis. As a final work of the master we have to carry out a thesis or a dissertation (“tesi” or “tesina” in Italian). In general terms, the difference resides on the degree of innovativeness of the outcome (and work load too, in my opinion). An another difference is that the full thesis can be evaluated almost with double score than the other.
Therefore, a full thesis contributes to the state-of-the-art knowledge and literature on a specific topic, providing new insights and formulating interpretative or normative models. To reach this you have fist to research and find relatively unexplored areas by both literature and empirical evidence.
And that is what I intend to do, but it takes time and what is more, it takes dedication. I am dealing with my thesis topic since October but dedicating just spare time between courses is not enough, so I am a bit stuck.
Moreover, lessons started last week, I will further write about my courses later but so far it seems it is going to be tough but also challenging. Previous semester turned out to be boring academically speaking, but I have great expectations on this one.
