You know, when you are studying at the university you have always thousands of things to read, case studies, technical books, notes, etc. In the end, leaving them and reading a fiction book is a luxury.
Despite this, I have tried to keep on reading, and one example is “Pretend you don’t see her” by novel by Mary Higgins Clark.
Lacey Farrell is a realtor in New York, whose latest assignment is to sell the apartment of a girl, who died in an accident recently. The girl’s mother thinks that her daughter’s death was not accidental but murder, and the mother calls Lacey asking her to come over so they can talk. When she gets there she finds the woman dead and also the killer, who is one potential buyer. Before the mother dies she gives Lacey her daughter journal. Lacey turns it over to police but not until she makes a copy for herself.
Lacey is then told that the killer is a professional. The FBI then places her in Witness Protection…
Well, it is just a nice novel to have some light reading but nothing else!
