As I told before, these days are being complicated for me. In particular, my heart is in pain witnessing through the news what is happening in Lebanon.
It hurts to see how this country is being destroyed in a matter of days and how innocent people are suffering; my sorrow comes joined with a feeling of impotence.
I want to send all my support to the Lebanese people.
We seek attention to the escalating violence of the past days in the Middle East, with a special focus on the bombing of civilians and public in Lebanon and note with deep concern the passive role of the international community towards stopping the human rights abuses in Lebanon and the Middle East. Hola, llegué a tu blog por accidente y me gustó, especialmente porque también me gané la misma beca y ahora me estoy preparando para irme en septiembre próximo. Me encantaría ponerme en contacto contigo, pues necesito asesoría antes y cuando llegue, ahora bien, no se si estás dispuesta a darme dicha asesoría. Soy colombiano y si a ti te ha parecido complicado cumplir con todos los requisitos burocráticos (codice fiscale, permesso di soggiorno, etc.) imaginate a mi, que de antemano me tengo que conseguir la visa. De todas maneras te felicito, tienes un blog muy creativo, me han encantado las fotos de los lugares que has visitado, dejame decirte que estás muy simpática por decir lo menos y que, de nuevo, me encantaría hablar contigo para obtener info de como es Como, el Politecnico, y otros asuntos. Hola, te he escrito al email, de todos modos quizás me puedas ayudar recomendando algunos libros que me puedan ser útiles en el curso. De esa manera los puedo llevar desde aquí, comprarlos a un precio más bajo. Quisiera saber como te fue académicamente hablando en tu primer año de estudio. Hola, te respondo por aquí por si a alguien más le pudiera servir de ayuda.
En cuanto a libros, cada profesor tiene sus preferencias, y no es estrictamente necesario comprar libros, se pueden hacer fotocopias o bien intentar “pillarlos” en la biblioteca. Pero allá voy:
El que yo más recomendaría comprarse es el Kotler P. “Marketing Management”, Prentice Hall International. Puede que la última edición sea la 11th edition, 2002. El Kotler es un libro básico que te puede venir bien a lo largo de todo el año.
Luego hay alguno otro útil para Innovation y Quality, pero dependerá del profesor que tengas y de cómo de bien quieras estudiar la asignatura.
Academicamente… hehe lo que mejor me va son los estudios Juan, en otras cosas soy más desastrosa, pero en los exámenes me suele ir bastante bien. Y lo más importante, me gusta lo que estudio, me encanta y estoy muy a gusto.

Eso es lo más importante: que te gusta lo que estudias y te hace estar a gusto. Muchísima gente estudia lo que odia, y eso le hace “sufrir” durante muchas veces por lo menos cinco años… Lo fundamental es hacer lo que a uno le gusta para ser feliz en la vida. Y yo creo que tú lo has logrado. Mis felicitaciones también por las notas (te las mereces).

Tú que sabes de la Alta Scuola Politecnica, perteneces a ella?, has oido hablar de ella o de sus proyectos?, te presentaste a la convocatoria?
He estado leyendo acerca de lo que hacen y las convocatorias y aún no se si presentarme pues no se qué tanto tiempo libre me vaya a quedar, una vez esté allá.
Aún no me ha llegado la carta oficial de ingreso, la cual debo presentar en la Embajada Italiana en Bogotá para que me den la visa Schengen, razón por la cual considero que no tengo nada seguro. Espero que todo me salga bien y que pueda viajar sin ningún contratiempo. Un abrazo a través de la distancia!!!

Conozco gente que fue seleccionada para la ASP, yo te recomiendo que lo pidas, en mi caso no lo hice y me arrepiento mucho, porque ahora no sé si me hubiesen cogido o no.

Se supone que las cartas para todos los estudiantes fueron enviadas a partir del 10 de julio. Ahora, teniendo en cuenta que Italia ganó el mundial el día 9, es muy probable que éstas se hayan retrasado, jeje. Las cartas llegarán primero al Istituto Italiano di Cultura en Bogotá y ellos me contactarán vía email o vía móvil. A veces se me sube la ansiedad; sin embargo estoy tranquilo porque la cita en la Embajada Italiana es a finales de agosto. Por otro lado, veo que te gusta la poesía, conoces a algún poeta o escritor colombiano?? Te recomiendo dos, Maria Mercedez Carranza y Gonzalo Arango. Un abrazo!!!

Estoy feliz!!! Me llegó la carta!!! La he firmado y mandado por fax, siguiendo las instrucciones dadas. Ahora si que veo muy pronto el viaje. Ahora estoy esperando a que me lleguen las ofertas de alojamiento disponible de parte del politecnico. La otra semana tengo una cita en el Istituto Italiano di Cultura en Bogotá (10 horas en bus) para que me expidan un certificado que debo presentar el día de la cita en la Embajada. No sabes las ganas que tengo de estar en Italia y enfrentar este gran desafío. Un abrazo!!!

and Where do you live? in what residence?
Also I don’t understand what mean this description of a flat in Prandoni Hall, where were written :
“T2B - (flats H and P) Two–room flat for two people, composed of one larger room with a kitchenette corner and two single beds, and a separated bathroom with shower;” I can’t even understand what it is a kind of room:)And what in one room,and what in another?:) Maybe you could help me?

I am living in Anzani, but in Via Anzani 37. Anyway, my rent contract ends at the end of Agoust and I will move to some other place, private, because university was not helping me at all during this year with my accomodation problems.
Anyway, Anzani 9 is an offer of this year (it will be new), Prandoni Hall I don’t know,is the first time I am hearing about it and Pannilani is the one I know very well, and which I like but I cannot compare with the others you are telling me…
Well, which is the address of Prandoni Hall? I havn’t found in the map any “Via Prandoni”. Regarding the description, I am afraid that it is neither clear for me. Send it to me in Italian if you also have it, maybe it will be better explained without translation.

It is all very strange. Because I copied the address of prandoni hall just from a site where i booked a place.
Here are the extract:
“Prandoni Hall of Residence Via Anzani 9, Como
Prandoni Hall of residence is located in Via Anzani (on the 2nd floor), within walking distance from Como Campus (around 400 mt).”
But I have already booked in prandoni Hall because there are not already any free places what are suitable for me by date and etc so it doesn’t already matter.
But I have an another question. I need a temporary accommodation in Como. Can you tell me where did you stay before you got all necessary permissions and began live in a dormitory?
Also what kind of problems did you have with accommodation? Maybe I should rebook my place? I saw where was available for booking someone’s private flat

So Prandoni Hall of residence is that situated in Via Anzani 9… the location is really good, I wish I could go there too! If I have been searching for private is because the university denies to give me a plance in the Halls of Residence, so if I were you I would be happy with this (altough I really don’t know how it looks like).
