Hi everybody!!
I wanted to sum up in a few words what has been going on in Como on these my first days, but is so difficult! You know, arriving to a new country to start a new life… means that thousands of things start to happen you. Each day here has been different to the other, at least until now. I hope my life to turn more stable once the classes begin and to be able to found myself settled up here.
I could tell you wonderful thinks and thinks that make me desperate and angry, depending on what speaking about.
Starting by the worse ones, I am fed up of going to the police station to get my residence permission, they are becoming me crazy by making me go there all the time to try to get the permission, when EU-members are supposed not to need it. Well, this is an example of my difficulties.
All the procedures are so complicated, everything is crazy in Italy, this is a mess, and moreover the language limitations. I have arrived here without having studied a word of Italian language (I must admit that is very easy for Spanish, is rather similar)
Right now, I am worried about my enrolment, official enrolment to the university. At first I was told to go to Milano (the main campus of the university is inside of the city), so I prepared myself to go today, Friday, but yesterday in the afternoon a friend told me that it was no necessary to go to Milano anymore, so today I went to confirm it, and in fact, they have change the enrolment procedure, but… although It will be here in Como, I cannot do it now, just wait!!
On the other hand, this place is wonderful, and there are nice people here. I am happy with my accommodation, is a new apartment, in a new building perfectly situated next to the university and not far from the centre of Como. The famous lake of Como and the surroundings are beautiful and so romantic…
I think I am getting on well with the people, and for the moment I haven’t met any Spanish. I just know the group of people who have been given an scholarship like me. People from Asia mainly, most of them are from China, including my apartment mates. So is very interesting because we are very different.
I will tell you more after the weekend, I hope to have kind of party here…
Greetings

I was in Italy 15 years ago, and it seemed you were in central Europe, but I came back two years ago and they have not advanced, compared with Spain. But, as I know about you, you will beat Italians in a couple of weeks.
